AUTUMN FESTIVALS September 2009 (Pending final dates)
The end of summer goes on to the beginning of Septembre. At that month, days become shorter and slow warm dusks appear to pervade the town with a special light. Such elements cause Septembre to be an appropriate time of year for the celebration of "Autumn Festival" in Jerez. This is the twelfth edition of a festive cycle which has become a unique event. At such event, it is paid a deserved tribute to three elements. By the way, they have become authentic emblems for our town: Wine, horse and flamenco.
Around them, it is organized a complete program of activities and shows invading the most emblematic spots in the town.
Automne festivals bring to Jerez a completely extensive activities program. It is a playful-cultural offer and it gives a new rhythm life to the whole town. For almost three weeks, Jerez is transformed and it receives a great variety of shows for kids and adults along streets and squares. There is festival atmosphere all over Jerez.
Trying to recreate this event out of Jerez is an unthinkable impossible work. Festival nature takes place at the very historical heart of this town. Jerez has been Phenician, Roman, Moor and Christian but it has never lost class, welcome and galantry stamp. With such values, inhabitants have accepted pilgrim attired in visitor apparels. This personage travels here in search of a unique destination which guarantees label of superior quality.
